Alright, this one's sunrise, but still just as beautiful! Get up before a dive and head to the beach for 5:30am to witness this beaut of a view!

After a full day's diving, taking in all the spectacular sights beneath the surface, why not finish the day off by taking some time to appreciate what's above the surface.

Gili Trawangan is famous for it's incredible sunsets, and what better way to end a day of diving then with a cold beer, some great company and some breathtakingly spectacular views.

We have whittled it down to our three favorites. All you have to do now is make sure that you stay for at least three days so that you can visit them all!

1.      Le pirate
With its cutesy white bungalows edged with blue framing, a big, beach deck bar and some amazing swinging hammocks, there is no surprise that Le Pirate is DCG’s first choice when it comes to sunset bars. Located on the opposite side of the island (compared to DCG) the best way to get there is to rent a bike and ride around the island until you see the big Le Pirate sign. This takes around 30 minutes. You can also go on a mini adventure and ride through the middle of the island, past the villages and coconut plantations coming out right next to Le Pirate. Lock up your bikes and head over to the beachside to enjoy a Pina Colada on the big wooden deck. Happy hour starts at 2pm, offering all types of Sailor Jerry cocktails!  If you're more of a pool person - no problem! The infinity pool is right next to the bar and still overlooking the ocean. Throw yourself on a beanbag or clamber into one of the enormous hammocks for a prime spot to watch the sun change color over the horizon. Watch as Bali slowly comes into view and take the opportunity to get some fantastic pictures.  Once the sun sets over the horizon make your way up to the restaurant and try the best dish on the menu - Thai BBQ.

Le Pirate beach club is th perfect chill out sunset destination. just you, the sun, the sea and a sailor jerry cocktail!

2.      Window Bar
One of the newest bars on the island (the resort that it is attached to is still being built!) The Window Bar really makes an effort in drawing more customers in. Not only has in some cool decor including walls made form multi-colored window shutters and a random typewriter sits on a table in the sand. Pretend to be a boat captain whilst supping your cocktail at the boat wheel or phone a fictional friend from their old skool telephone. Deep house music drifts on the warm breeze, while the beanbags are lined up in the sand - all ready for you to enjoy the sunset drinking one of their reasonably priced cocktails. A cool, chilled vibe, made even better by the friendly, helpful staff makes it rather hard to leave after the sun is completely submerged into the sea. And the best part is; every weekend buy just one drink and get a BBQ voucher for free! How great is that! To find the window bar, follow the coastal road towards the south of the island, or take an adventure through the island. Ride along the mainstrip until you find Kelapa road. Take this road all the way through the island until you hit the coast on the opposite side. Turn left and you will see the shutters of the back wall.

3.     Paradise Sunset bar
Many a  flock to Paradise Sunset bar, with expats and holiday makers alike stopping by to enjoy the chilled vibe and delicious cocktails. Tasty snacks are also available, perfect for pre-dinner nibbles. Paradise bar is busy with an amazing sunset vibe. Located only 10 minutes away from Dive Central it is the first bar you hit biking south. The tables, beanbags and berugas sit at an angle so that they are facing the sunset. Relax after your busy day of bubbling whilst watching the sunset behind Mount Agung, Bali. With ice cold Bintangs, cheap drinks and one of the best playlists on the island – Paradise Sunset is the bar the crew at DCG mostly hang out in. Stay on a little after the sun has gone and you can watch skilled fire dancers throwing some shapes next to the small bonfire they light after sundown. You might even catch one of our very own instructors testing their skills on the fire balls!

Enjoy your sunsets, and good luck cycling back to the main strip afterwards. After a few beverages, this can be a tad tricky! Watch out for oncoming horse and carts and maybe take a little torch with you.
